⚙ GLOBAL HORIZONS

Taking Sri Lankan Cricket Beyond Boundaries

At Ceylon–England Cricket Academy & Institute, we believe that cricket development can be strengthened through international knowledge-sharing, exposure to different coaching methods and opportunities to learn from the wider cricket community.

Our International Development division aims to build meaningful connections between Sri Lankan players, coaches, cricket clubs and international cricket organisations, with an initial focus on exploring opportunities connected to England's cricket environment.

Our vision is to create opportunities for learning, collaboration and development that broaden cricket knowledge, strengthen performance and inspire the next generation of cricketers.

◉ STRATEGIC INITIATIVES

Our International Development Initiatives

Six purposeful pathways designed to cultivate international coaching standards, overseas learning experiences, and sustainable bilateral relationships.

INITIATIVE 1

1. International Coaching Knowledge Exchange

Bringing Different Coaching Perspectives Together

We aim to explore opportunities for Sri Lankan players and coaches to learn from experienced international cricket coaches and educators.

These activities will be introduced as suitable coaches and partners become available.

INITIATIVE 2

2. England Cricket Learning Experiences

Discover Different Approaches to the Game

Our long-term vision includes exploring opportunities for participants to experience cricket learning in England through suitable club relationships and organised programmes.

All visits will depend on confirmed partnerships, host availability, travel arrangements, safeguarding and financial feasibility.

INITIATIVE 3

3. International Club Partnerships

Building Relationships Beyond Borders

We aim to establish relationships with suitable cricket clubs, coaching organisations and cricket education providers overseas.

We welcome enquiries from international cricket organisations interested in exploring mutually beneficial partnerships.

INITIATIVE 4

4. International Player Development Pathways

Preparing Players for New Challenges

Our development philosophy encourages players to build strong technical foundations, tactical intelligence, discipline and competitive experience before pursuing further opportunities.

Participation in our programmes does not guarantee overseas selection, scholarships, trials, club contracts or professional opportunities.

INITIATIVE 5

5. International Coach Development

Sharing Knowledge. Strengthening Coaching Standards.

We aim to support continued learning among Sri Lankan coaches through exposure to different coaching philosophies, training methods and player-development practices.

Our objective is to encourage continuous professional development while respecting the requirements of relevant cricket governing bodies and qualification providers.

INITIATIVE 6

6. International Cricket Camps & Development Events

Bringing Cricket Communities Together

Subject to suitable partnerships and operational arrangements, we plan to explore international and joint development events.

Programme dates, costs, eligibility and participating organisations will be announced only when confirmed.

★ CULTURAL & CRICKETING ETHOS

Our England–Sri Lanka Vision

Two Cricket Traditions. One Shared Passion.

Ceylon–England Cricket aims to create a platform where Sri Lankan cricketing talent can learn from different coaching perspectives while contributing its own passion, skills and experience to the wider cricket community.

We want to build relationships based on mutual respect, structured learning, professional conduct and a shared commitment to developing the game.

Our approach is to begin with practical knowledge-sharing initiatives and gradually explore more extensive partnerships as the network grows.

Mutual Respect & Professional Standards

By uniting the tactical thoroughness, seam bowling traditions, and institutional heritage of English cricket with Sri Lanka's dynamic spin bowling, wristy strokeplay, and boundless enthusiasm, we foster a truly enriching ecosystem for players of both nations.
