Eight structured programmes designed to provide targeted developmental experiences for every stage of your cricketing journey.

PROGRAMME 1

1. Cricket Development Camps

Intensive Training. Focused Development.

Our proposed development camps provide concentrated cricket experiences during school holidays, weekends and selected training periods.

Programmes may combine practical coaching, skill challenges, match scenarios, teamwork and performance feedback in a structured environment.

Ideal for: Junior cricketers, school players and aspiring competitive players.

PROGRAMME 2

2. Individual Player Development Programme

A Development Plan Built Around the Player.

Every cricketer has different strengths, challenges and ambitions. Our proposed individual development programme aims to help players identify their priorities and work towards measurable improvement.

Following an initial assessment, participants may receive an individual development plan based on their needs and programme availability.

Ideal for: Players who want a more personalised approach to cricket development.

PROGRAMME 3

3. Talent Development & Performance Pathway

Recognising Potential. Supporting Progress.

This programme aims to identify promising players and help them prepare for increasingly demanding cricket environments. Selection will be based on relevant criteria such as demonstrated skills, commitment, attitude, performance and development potential.

Ideal for: Committed junior, youth and emerging competitive cricketers.

Participation does not guarantee selection for a school, club, representative team or professional pathway.

PROGRAMME 4

4. Cricket Leadership & Life Skills Programme

Developing Leaders On and Off the Field.

Cricket provides an excellent environment for developing responsibility, teamwork, communication and resilience.

Our proposed leadership programme uses cricket-related activities to help participants strengthen personal and interpersonal skills that can benefit them both in sport and in everyday life.

Ideal for: Young cricketers, team captains, student leaders and aspiring sports leaders.

PROGRAMME 5

5. Cricket Scoring & Performance Data Workshop

Understand the Numbers Behind the Game.

This short-course programme introduces participants to the practical use of cricket scorecards, statistics and performance records.

It complements the Institute's broader educational programmes by focusing on applied exercises and cricket data activities.

Ideal for: Players, cricket enthusiasts, aspiring scorers and individuals interested in cricket analysis.

PROGRAMME 6

6. Young Cricket Coach Experience

Explore the Journey from Player to Coach.

This introductory experience allows suitable participants to explore the responsibilities and skills involved in supporting cricket training sessions.

Under appropriate supervision, participants may observe demonstrations, assist with approved activities and practise basic communication and session-support skills.

Ideal for: Older youth players and aspiring coaches who meet the programme's entry requirements.

This is an introductory experience, not a formal coaching licence or recognised coaching qualification.

7. Cricket Club & Team Development Programme

Building Stronger Teams and Better Club Environments.

We aim to support schools, clubs and cricket organisations through tailored development activities that complement their existing coaching arrangements.

Ideal for: Schools, cricket clubs, community teams and regional cricket partners.

8. International Cricket Learning Experiences

Broaden Your Cricket Horizons.

Ceylon–England Cricket aims to explore opportunities for participants to gain exposure to different cricketing environments and coaching perspectives.

Ideal for: Players, aspiring coaches and cricket organisations interested in international learning.

These opportunities will be introduced as suitable partnerships are established. Overseas visits and international participation are not guaranteed.

Our specialised programmes may be offered at different levels according to their objectives and entry requirements.

TIER 1

Foundation Experience

For participants exploring a new area of cricket development.

TIER 2

Development Experience

For participants seeking to strengthen existing skills and knowledge.

TIER 3

Advanced Development

For experienced participants undertaking more specialised activities, subject to assessment and availability.

These are proposed programme categories rather than official cricket qualification levels. Age limits, prerequisites and selection criteria will be published for each programme.
